Join the Team
Why join Team SCARR-Ommegang? You shouldn't unless most of the following apply to you-
- have a fun, irreverant sense of humor
- enjoy the comradie of teammates
- like ripping on those same teammates for any reason imaginable
- ride your bike as much as you can and perhaps even occasionally race it
- understand the fine nuances of Belgian brewing and enjoy chillin with other Ommegangsters while draining a few pints
- don't take yourself too seriously
- take cycling and after-the-ride BS-ing very seriously
The team is all about riding and having a good time doing it and we're all friends. However, there are a few pre-requisites you'll need to join-
- You are of legal racing age as per USAC rules
- You currently hold a USCF racing license
- You have a racing-legal bike
- You have and will wear a helmet at all sanctioned or unsanctioned team events or rides
- You will never distribute or provide, nor allow to be distributed or provided, alcoholic beverages to any person or persons under the legal drinking age of 21 and you agree that doing so will result in your immediate removal from the team
- You agree to volunteer to help the team in some fashion (working the race, finding ways to improve our skills, etc)
